We are a lyre studio in Okinawa, Japan.
We first encountered the lyre in 2002 and produced the first lyre in Japan.
The word “telulu” is an old Ryukyuan word meaning “sacred song” (a song of thanksgiving and prayer).
Each piece of wood is individually handcrafted by hand, and each process is carefully checked by the craftsman.
Although we cannot produce as many pieces in a year as industrial production, we place great importance on careful craftsmanship without cutting corners.
We want to make a musical instrument in which the wood sings poetry.
We hope that the sound of our lyres will bring smiles to your faces and to those around you.
And we hope that the lyre we make will become a precious one for you and that you will play it for a long time.
